Milled flaxseed provides your body with the benefits of both soluble and insoluble fibres. One tablespoon of flaxseed, contains about 1.6 g of omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acids will help lower your cholesterol, and protect against heart disease. Ground or milled flaxseeds, in that case, makes a better choice.
